Dog Friendly Policy

As dog owners we know how hard it can be to find great accommodation that welcomes you and your whole family - including your dog!

That's why we've made Portavadie as dog friendly as we possibly can.

Unfortunately the Luxury Apartments, Shepherd's Huts and Lodge rooms are out of bounds. You are however welcome to visit or stay in the Cottages, Tighnamara, The Hideaway, Portavadie Cabins and Studio Apartments.

To make sure that you and your family have a wonderful time, we thought it might be helpful to outline a few house rules to your pooch.

So doggies, listen up and have a great holiday!

Doggie Dont's

We know it's fun, but please don't jump on the beds or furnishings or cause any damage.

Remember your owner is responsible for any damage caused!

We’d prefer it if your owners don’t leave you alone in your accommodation. If you have to be left alone for any length of time then please inform our reception team.

Although it's tempting, please don't run about on your own as we wouldn't want you to get lost or hurt - remember there is a road nearby.

Doggie Do's

We'll provide you with a bowl for your water and some treats, but do remember to bring your own bedding, towels, feeding bowl, leash and your favourite toys.

Do make sure your owner uses the doggy poo bags and bins situated about site.

There are lots of exciting places for you to walk, but we do need you to stay close to your family and always have your leash on when exploring Portavadie.

Good dogs are welcome in the games area of the Leisure Experience and the Lounge areas of the Marina Restaurant and Bar, ground floor and mezzanine.

"If you've been for a swim in the sea, do make sure you get a good rub down before you go inside.

Other doggie matters

  • Guide dogs are allowed everywhere.
  • Maximum of two dogs per accommodation.
  • If you're well behaved and dry, you're welcome in the Marina Restaurant and Bar and Leisure Experience Games Zone.

Vet

We're sure you'll have a great time but, if you do run into trouble, you can contact the Cowal and Bute Veterinary Surgery in Dunoon on +44 1369702532.
