Lucy Keeton recently joined our Crew after working with us as an agency therapist last year - we are delighted to welcome her. Hear more about why she decided to take a permanent contract with us below.

“I have been a qualified Spa Therapist for over 11 years and have been working with spa agencies since 2018. I first came to work at Portavadie in August 2023.

One of the reasons I decided to take a full-time position at Portavadie was because of the current climate in the UK. As we are in a cost-of-living crisis it was reassuring to take a job with stability and great benefits.

I am grateful that the spa agency allowed me to travel around the UK and discover areas that I wouldn’t normally visit. I have previously worked in Scotland and was familiar with the areas near Portavadie, however after being on placement here 3 times it allowed me to realise how much I liked it and then made me take the plunge to move.

I kept coming back to Portavadie because it is one of the most beautiful spas in the UK! They have not left a stone unturned with the design, and it is extremely clean. Also, the staff have been extremely friendly and welcoming. I have also had a positive experience with the staff accommodation.

Working at Portavadie has made me realize that there is more to life than working 70+ hours a week – here I have a much better work-life balance.”
