Yacht Marinas
Throughout the west coast of Scotland there are a variety of marinas, harbours and safe havens. There is one main marina and one harbour on Loch Fyne.
Portavadie Marina
On the east side of Loch Fyne, Portavadie Marina is going through is largest development phase with buildings and facilities being added, although it is open and accepting berthing.

The facilities expected upon completion include a restaurant, some land based accommodation, chandlery, wireless broadband internet and much more.
With only a five minute walk to the Portavadie ferry terminal and a further twenty minutes by ferry to Tarbert, it is a real useful position, and of course an ideal overnight stay on your way up to the Crinan Canal entrance.

Tarbert Harbour
Tarbert Harbour is a natural harbour with funnel like entrance from Loch Fyne and is a popular harbour destination. Many boats are berthed here all year round. The harbour on the opposite side also has a small fishing fleet.
The facilities are basic, with electric available, toilets and a small shower block although there are plans in the future to increase available facilities.

The benefits of using Tarbert Harbour are that it has the picturesque setting, with hotels, restaurants and shops all in a horseshoe shape around the harbour. So you are sure of good food if you like dining out, and of course there are the daily items such as newspapers, milk and bread available in the village.
